Kathy Dickson is a self-taught artist who began her professional career in 1988 after winning the Missouri Waterfowl Stamp and Print competition. She has had the fortune of winning many awards, including two-time winner of the National Wild Turkey Federation's (NWTF) Grand National Art Competition in 1991 and 1993. Kathy Dickson was their Artist of the Year in 2001, and a five-time winner of the Missouri Ducks Unlimited (DU) Sponsor Stamp and Print competition (2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009). Kathy has also been an earlier winner of their sponsor plate competition, winner of seven conservation stamp and print competitions, and 1993 Illinois Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year. Kathy has produced many prints over the years, many which have sold out. She has done many shows, including several one-man shows, in various states. Kathy credits God for her talent and takes pleasure in capturing His handiwork on canvas for others to enjoy.
Unfortunately, In June 2012, Kathy Dickson suffered a heat stroke and is no longer able to paint. She has painted for 50 years and professionally for 24 years. She does, however have a body of work that she has had prints made from, and from time to time, we do get an original to sell on someone's behalf. Kathy thanks everyone who has enjoyed her work over the years.
