Local Art

Visit our quaint gallery in person to see many works by each artist.

Rose Anne Stanard

Rose Anne’s interest in art began at a young age when inspired by her mother. She studied at the University of Missouri and Kansas University before starting a professional career in graphic design, illustration, and painting.

Her style is mostly inspired by the impressionist movement and is loose and expressive. The way she captures light and conveys movement is rather exquisite! We believe anyone can find comfort in her work and value in her artistry.

Marj Hedstrom

Marj primarily works with eco printing, creating something truly unique and beautiful each time. Her work marries the traditional style usually found in natural themes with contemporary art composition, making her artwork perfect for those seeking balance between the two.

Eco-printing is a technique where plants, leaves and flowers are steamed or boiled to extract their natural dye. Marj then arranges the plants onto fabric or paper to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

Mark Pelton

Mark is the talented husband of our previous owner, Barb Pelton. Most of his photography is centered around his two home states, Missouri and Arkansas. In spite of his love for travel, Mark desires to capture and display the subtle beauty found in our local region, although, he is known to feature photos from his trips to National Parks from time to time.

Mark takes pride in knowing how to properly use his cameras and equipment instead of having to rely on heavy editing. This gives his viewers the ability to see nature as it is.

Laura Clark

Poplar Bluff is lucky to have an artist of this caliber and taste level in our midst. If you are a local, you may remember Laura from her days of teaching at our school.

Laura’s style is more modern with a wide range of abstract and contemporary pieces. Her works range from colorful landscapes, intriguing portraits, furry animals, and religious themes. Her newest portraits are playfully fun and will add that “je ne sais quoi” charm to any home.

Kim Hoefer

We are proud to exhibit a beautiful collection of watercolor paintings inspired by her life on a river boat working along the Mississippi River valley.

Kim’s artwork takes you on a journey through the area where the Midwest and the South meet. In her selection of paintings, you are likely to find depictions of farm life, fishing lures, local flora and fauna, and rural landscapes. Her style whimsical and organic, which is reflective of her fun loving, adventurous spirit.

Kathy Dickson

Kathy is a beloved artist in our area and has graced us with her talent for many years. She has been known for her detailed realism throughout the years but has lately been displaying an impressive artistic range.

Her latest series was inspired by artists of the post-impressionist and abstract modernist movements. Her gallery has a wide variety of art that can appeal to anyone interested in expanding their collection, no matter their taste.

Tim Edington

Tim is a fine art photographer, capturing images from his native Ozark Mountain roots and his many travels through North America and Europe. He is also one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet!

Tim was raised on a love for the outdoors and the thought that one should never be without a camera. He studied art at Southern Methodist University and the Smithsonian Institution in the Grand Tetons National Park. His work speaks to people and gives us rare glimpses of nature, frozen in time by a lens.
